Grades 3, 4, 5 and 6 went to Timothy Christian School to see Charlotte, actually Charlotte's Web. This was one of the best plays we've seen so far. the cast was made up of suburban area children. The singing, dancing and acting was wonderful. We all wondered how the 9 year old girl that played Wilbur could learn all those lines.
The sixth and third graders have become buddies for church and various projects. We are looking forward to some new "fun" things in the future.
The fifth graders have read about "The Orphan train", which is a part of American history. Afterward, we watched a movie about the Orphan Train. It was an eye-opener for us to see how the children were treated.
The sixth graders have been busy learning about subjects, predicates, verbs and nouns again. We are writing Halloween stories to share with the lower grades.
The boys are really looking forward to the beginning of the basketball season which means the floor under our room will be a-shaken from those nets.
The children have learned a lot about body systems in science with Sister Colette and enjoyed the many experiments they have done.
Happy Fall, leaf raking and Halloween from all of us.
