Council of Catholic Women

The St. Domitilla Council of Catholic Women, under the guidance of Our Lady of Good Counsel, acts to support, empower and educate its members in spirituality, leadership and service.

The Council of Catholic Women (CCW) programs respond with Gospel values to the needs of the Church and society in the modern world.

Knights of Columbus

Thanks to the efforts of Father Michael J. McGivney, assisant pastor of St. Mary’s Church in New Haven, and some of his parishioners, the Connecticut State legislature on March 29, 1882, officially chartered the Knights of Colunus as a fraternal benefit society.

Assumption Council #3671 was started in 1953 and serves Hillside, Berkely, Bellwood and Westchester.  The Knights support seminarians, raise money to assist mentally handicapped citizens, support 3 St. Vincent De Paul food pantries, host a freee throw competition, and sponsors 2 Christmas Trees at Brookfield Zoo that are decorated by Boys and Girls Club and St. Domitilla Religious Education students.
