ST DOMITILLA PARISH MINISTRIES

Altar Servers - All boys and girls of St. Domitilla Parish, grades 3 through 12 who have received their First Holy Communion are invited to be servers at daily and Sunday masses, weddings, funerals, and other liturgical functions. Contact Marge Dixon 708-449-8430

Bereavement Ministry - The Bereavement Ministry provides comfort and support to parishioners experiencing death of a loved one. Contact Tom Carroll 708-547-7812

The Children's Choir - The Children's Choir does a beautiful job enhancing our liturgies.  They perform at the 9:30am Mass in church on the Last Sunday of each month.  Rehearsal is held in the Teen Room on Wednesdays from 4:15pm to 5pm. Council of Catholic Women - The purpose of the St. Domitilla Council of Catholic Women is to bring together women in the parish who are willing to carry out the work f Jesus by enhancing the spiritual, material and social interest of the parish. All women of the parish are invited to join our CCW the first Thursday of each month, September through May. There is no January meeting. www.stdomitillaccw.org

Eucharistic Ministers - Men and women who have been confirmed in the Catholic faith are invited to be Eucharistic Ministers. The Eucharistic Ministers help with the distribution of the Eucharist at mass. Contact the Rectory Office @ 708-449-8430 ext 10

Finance Committee - The Finance Committee assists the pastor in the management of parish resources as well as prepares the annual budget and parish report to the archdiocese and the parish community.

First Friday Adoration - First Friday Adoration is a time to relax and enjoy the peace that comes from simply being in the presence of God. Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament will take place from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm the first Friday of each month.

Knights of Columbus

Lectors - The lectors proclaim the word of God. This important ministry assures that the word of God can make its way more easily into the lives of all who gather to be nourished by that word at the Eucharist. Contact Helen Kwasniewski 708-547-7385

Medical Missions -

Mens' Fellowship - Men's Fellowship meets on the last Sunday of each month in the Teen Room after the 9:30 am Mass.

Ministers of Care - Ministers of Care bring the Holy Eucharist to the homebound along with prayers as an extension of the celebration of the mass. This ministry is done on a regular basis (usually weekly). Contact Pam Kollman 708-449-8430 ext 11

Parish Pastoral Council - The Parish Pastoral Council is an advisory board representing all aspects of parish life that supports the pastor in his leadership role, expands his awareness of needs and achievements and counsels him on pastoral outreach. Contact Noreen Thermos 708-544-7464

R.C.I.A. - The church provides opportunities for non-baptized, those worshipping in another faith and those seeking any of the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist) of preparation to become a part of our Catholic community. Contact Deacon Joe Siranovic 708-449-8430

Recovery Group

Religious Education - Our Religious Education program for those attending public schools help to educate these children in the basics of the Catholic faith as well as preparing them for the sacraments of Eucharist and Confirmation. Contact Robyn Rogers 708-449-1558

St. Domitilla Seniors - Our Seniors meet in the South Hall of the school on the last Tuesday of each month at 1:00 pm.

St. Joseph Sodality

St. Vincent de Paul Society - The St. Vincent DePaul Society helps supply families in need with food and collects clothing and other items to be distributed through various food pantries and outlets in the archdiocese.

Ushers - Welcome and provide an orderly and prayerful setting at Mass and parish liturgical events.
